Being Creative
Have a gander at what little projects I've been doing to keep me out of mischief.

Candle Making
Why not try something different. Its so easy to make and you can use candles you already have around the house. Melt them down and make a brand new candle from it.

Soap Making
This is one of my favourite crafts I do.
Its so easy too. Just purchase some Melt and Pour Soap from Ebay and melt down in a microwave, add essential oils to flavour and food colouring to colour and you are well away.

Glass Blowing
Why not try something different.
I spent a lovely day in Norfolk at Langham Glass having a go at glass blowing. Its really good fun.

Jewellery making
Why not make a friend a personal gift or finish off your favourite outfit with a unique matching necklace set.

Cake decorating
I adore all things sweet, so when a friend asked me to make her a birthday cake, I jumped at the challenge and got all creative.
The fun bit is deciding on the concept, and thinking up what your friend would like to have. Working out your design and then turning your concept into a final piece. Oh and then you get to have a piece or two....yummy!

Crochering
During the Winter months, with cold dark evening keeping you curled up by the fire. I keep myself busy by thinking and creating new things to crochet. Skelly head and Mr Snowman were my 2010 creations. I took some new bunny teds to work, which then turned into a number of orders from her work colleagues.

Pottery
I just love to pretend I'm Demi Moore in Ghost, making my pots with Patrick (if I imagine hard enough). Why not sign up for a course in Pottery. It is so theraputic and you can create so many different things.

Photography
Photos can tell a story and capture memories that would normally fade over time. Keep a camera on your at all times then you can never miss a special moment. Oh and remember to keep a fully charged spare battery on you, then there is no missing a shot.

I've been creating some new paintings to sell on Etsy recently. I sold my first painting to a lovely lady in New York. I feel another idea coming. I better get the brushes out. Why not send me some of your pictures. I'd love to see what you've been up to.

Melting Candles in Double Boilers - or a pan in a pan of boiling water.

Candle Making

Candle Making - reusing old candles - using yoghurt pots as moulds.

Candle Making - using cupcake moulds and sequines

Candles made in yoghurt pots. I made a think layer of red wax, let it set and broke it up and placed into the bottom of the candle so that it makes this effect when adding a contrasting colour.
